Automotive Window Tinting

Automotive window tint is a sheet of strong polyester laminate treated in variety of ways to improve    the look and performance of existing windows. One side has a scratch-resistant coating and the other has an adhesive that bonds to the glass window.

Solar control tints for auto glass work by selectively controlling the passage of the sun’s radiant energy into a vehicle, reducing cabin temperatures, enhancing outward visibility by reducing harsh glare, and nearly eliminating the damaging and dangerous effects of ultraviolet light on upholstery and our skin   and eyes.

Because the sun’s energy is composed of ultraviolet light, visible light, and near infrared radiation, our  high-tech films with high optical clarity have been constructed to independently regulate the passage   of these three bands of energy to suit the different needs of consumers. You can choose films that:

  • Filter out only ultraviolet (UV) rays

  • Reduce visible light to control glare and improve a car’s appearance

  • Block both UV and most solar infrared to reduce heat without changing the appearance of the glass

Nano-Technology Window Films:

Science of Nanotechnology

Nanotechnology is one of the great evolving sciences in the world today. From biotech to aerospace, the implementation of nanotechnology has exponentially advanced many industries, window film being one of them.

Essentially, what were doing is manipulating the solar spectrum. The solar spectrum includes UV Radiation, Visible Light, and Infra Red Radiation. Each of these components have an impact on heat gain.

Scientist, through molecular science, can engineer Nanoparticles (which measure 1 billionth of a meter) to identify and absorb vast amounts of Infra-Red Heat, practically all the UV radiation, and varying degrees of the Visible Light component. It’s a process that allows our films to achieve a term referred to as “Spectral Selectivity”.

It’s through this science, that NASA was able to engage heat rejective elements into the Space Shuttle design, and the further down the line the into the Stealth Bomber. We’d like to think were putting more nanotechnology onto car glass than Area 51 does to experimental aircraft. But we’ll never really know will we?

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Basically, heat breaks down into 3 components:

3% comes from UV Radiation (100nm – 380nm)

44% comes from Visible Light (400nm – 780nm)

53% comes from (IR) Infra-Red (780nm – 2500nm)

…………………………………………………………………………………………….................................

Precision Window Tinting's QDP Ceramic (Nano-Ceramic) film is able to address each of the three components with amazing efficiency. Here’s what our film can do:

UV : 99% Eliminated

VLT (Visible Light) : Manipulated by Shade % (70/50/35/20/05)

(((IR (Infra-Red) : >91% Eliminated)))

SPF (Sun Protection Factor) : >285+ (Typical Skin Cream is 30!)

Residential/Commercial Window Tinting

Why Use Window Film?

Using window film in your home and commercial buildings helps to protect you and your property from the damaging effects of the sun. Over time, the sun's heat and harmful UV rays contribute to the fading of interior furnishings, fabrics, artwork and flooring and can cause uneven or very warm temperatures within a home or commercial building. The sun can also damage to your skin, and its glare can cause eyestrain. What's more, window film can hold shards of broken glass together in the event of an accident, vandalism, or break-in.

EXPRESS/GLOBAL window films help alleviate sun-damaging effects, by blocking up to 99% of UV rays and reflecting more than 78% of the sun's heat. The film also works as an insulator to help keep costs of heating and cooling down. Some customers want privacy, some want protection. Whichever way you decide to go....you will have protection either way.

What's more, EXPRESS/GLOBAL film enhances the look of any home or building, while providing energy-saving comfort in hot summers and cold winters.

For customers living in areas prone to weather-related damage and or in a busy city area, security window film might be the best option. Some thickness and shades vary with size:

Paint Protection (Clearbra)

Clear paint protection film covers the exterior of your vehicle primarily installed on your car hood, side mirrors, fenders and side skirts. This urethane film cover, also called a “car bra”, protects your vehicle from scratches, stains and chipping. It protects your investment, saving you the time and trouble of repainting or repairing your vehicle’s exterior after minor abrasions. Here are a few reasons why you should install paint protection film on your vehicle.

1-Paint Protection Film Protects Your Vehicles Exterior from Rock Chips, Scratches and Other Debris

Frequent and even light driving on Southern California roads and freeways subjects your car to road debris, rocks, and other things that seem to be magnetically pulled to the front of your vehicle causing unavoidable rock chips and scratches. Unless you have paint protection film installed on your vehicle you will undoubtedly begin to see the damage to your vehicle. Protecting your vehicle from damage with paint protection film will keep its exterior looking good and increase resale value.

2- You Won’t Even Know It’s There

A clear paint protection film covering lets your car’s finish shine through while shielding it from damage. There are many brands of paint protection film available. The installation is a painstaking process which uses a combination of soapy water, alcohol and heat. When you use a top quality material applied by a qualified professional, you won’t even know it’s there.

3- Originally Developed to the U.S. Military So You Know It’s Tough

Clear urethane protection film has been used to protect military vehicles in areas prone to gravel and rock chips since the Vietnam War. It was originally designed to protect helicopter blades from airborne debris. Repairing the blades proved too costly, so the military developed clear film to shield the blades from gravel and stones. When debris hit the blades, it would damage the film, which could be replaced easily. The military continues to use protective films on its vehicles. The clear film was especially effective against damage from dust during Operation Desert Storm in the early 1990s. The advantages of automotive protective film were first noticed by race car drivers in the 1980s, who began using urethane film to protect their vehicles from dust and gravel from tracks and off-road races. Paint protection film is still the best solution to protecting a vehicle subject to track use.

4-Custom Installation Offers Better Protection

Clear bra film installation is available in a pre-cut computer designed kit or it can be custom cut and installed. Custom kits are more expensive because additional labor is involved. However, a custom cut kit offers a better fit because it the film is cut and designed by a highly skilled technician specifically for your vehicle. This provides the best coverage over all vehicle surfaces, including wrapped edges. Custom installation is recommended over pre-cut kits for a smoother, seamless look and more comprehensive coverage.
